Lead climbing course at Glenmore Lodge

Day 2 and Dilywn and Graham and I walked into the bowl of pea soup that was the northern corries today. After finding our way to the base of Sneachda (we had hoped to head over to Hells Lum) and taking a line up from there we spotted Fiacaill buttress and jumped onto Fiacaill Couloir. Dilywn has only led this grade twice before and Graham hadn't led this hard so it made a good option- they cruised it. The snow was firm and we even found enough ice to place a screw and got a few rock runners were dug out for each pitch.
We had a brief 10 second glimpse of the rest of the Coire and then the mist descended again. It seemed a little early to head for home so we dropped down the Fiacaill of Sneachda to the col and cut in underneath the hurting to a gully that is often climbed but not mentioned in the Guidebook. This gave Graham a good pitch of II and above this Dilywn took the crest of a rib to give a pitch of very good, well protected III. Today i was working for Glenmore Lodge.
